How we support you

Leave a legacy in your will
Leaving a legacy
It can be easily overlooked but a donation of any amount would help us to continue our work transforming the lives of Islanders affected by a brain tumour diagnosis, including patients, partners, friends and family, no matter when the diagnosis was made.
Legacies are essential to the success of the Jersey Brain Tumour Charity. Our aim is to ensure that every patient in Jersey diagnosed with a brain tumour gets the help they need. There are many service providers in Jersey and it is often difficult to navigate these services especially at a time of great vulnerability.
We aim to ensure that every newly diagnosed patient is placed on the correct patient pathway with the right care plan and emotional and practical support.
How to leave a legacy in your will
Jersey Brain Tumour Charity would always recommend that you use the services of a lawyer when you are seeking advice about drawing up a will. The lawyer will be able to provide advice on the different legal aspects and issues you face and make sure that you have made provision for all your beneficiaries including leaving a donation to charity. They will also ensure that your requests are all within the law.
If you would like to leave Jersey Brain Tumour Charity a legacy in your will you will need to firstly consult a lawyer to advise you fully. Some of the types of legacy you can leave are detailed as follows:
Pecuniary donation
To leave a specific sum of money, which can be index-linked to preserve its value.
Residual donation
To leave a percentage of the residue of your estate after all dependants have been provided for.
Specific donation
To leave part or all of your estate to Jersey Brain Tumour Charity.
If you do decide to leave a donation to Jersey Brain Tumour Charity, your lawyer will need to know the following details:
Charity Name: Jersey Brain Tumour Charity
Account Name: Jersey Brain Tumour Charity
Account Number: 61212868
Bank Sort Code: 30-94-61
